I was frustrated with the ongoing cycle of losing weight and gaining it back and decided it was time to reach out for nutrition coaching.
During my time with Pivot, I am most proud of establishing healthy habits that have taken me way beyond my original goals. I enjoy being more active and prioritizing " moving " in my day. I am lifting weights routinely, and I am proud of my progress with lifting heavier weights. I have developed a positive mindset around food and fitness. My cholesterol numbers have dropped to normal ranges and are the best they’ve been in 20 years!! What I once thought was my main goal has been overshadowed by so many other good things (mentioned above). That said, I’ve lost pounds and inches, and I’m wearing smaller sizes. Best of all, I feel great. I feel younger!
My biggest takeaway is that it’s not about the number on the scale. There are so many measures of progress, and it all starts with a healthy mindset. I did not know the importance of protein and the amount I should have daily. I was amazed at how my cravings for my favorite snacks/foods went away when the protein went up. Consistency with “all the things” is what helped me make progress toward my goals.
Carol was the perfect coach for me. She met me where I was and helped me make small changes over time. She encouraged me to get outside and walk in the dead of winter—and it became a daily habit that I loved. I always felt comfortable talking to Carol about my frustrations, stressors, and obstacles.
She would remind me that the changes we were making would become my new routine. It was hard to believe that at the beginning, but she was right! I was also excited to share my successes and discoveries with her. In addition to guiding me through this journey, she was my biggest cheerleader. She genuinely cares and wants me to succeed. Her guidance and encouragement were game-changers for me.
I would tell someone on the fence about nutrition coaching that trying to lose weight is hard work. However, working with a registered dietitian and following the guidance of Pivot Nutrition Coaching has helped me focus on the RIGHT work, and the results are far beyond my initial expectations. As I graduate from the program, my mind is on continuing the right work—and it doesn’t feel like “hard work” anymore. It has simply become how I relate to food and fitness with a healthy mindset and established daily habits. (Just like Coach Carol said it would. 😊)
In addition to having my own personal registered dietitian, I appreciated all the resources provided, the social media pages with info and live segments with Dani, and the podcasts. It is so helpful to have the right information coming to you in many forms.
I was motivated to reach out for help because I was eating food like I was still playing college football. This made me gain weight and become self-conscious about my appearance.

My biggest takeaway from the program is how important your hunger fullness cues are. Once I learned how to listen to my hunger cues actively, I was able to start losing weight right away.

I was a few months away from turning 40 and wanted to start a new decade feeling the best I’ve ever felt. I knew I had a fairly unhealthy relationship with food but had no idea how bad it was until I had my first call with Dani, and we started to break it down. The all-or-nothing mindset was running rampant in my head on a daily basis.
Through my journey with Pivot, I am most proud of my relationship with food, which is 150% better! I now don’t feel guilty when I indulge in fun foods and have found I feel so much better when I nourish my body. I’m also so proud of dropping my cholesterol by almost 100 points!!! My biggest takeaway was finally learning about macros!!! I dialed in on my body's needs to be at its best. At 40, this feels amazing! No, my stomach aches!
I just adored working with Moriah. She was the perfect fit for me. She helped me stay dialed into my goals, whether it was food or movement based. She never judged and was always supportive.
My advice for those on the fence about investing in nutrition coaching is to just….DO IT. Invest in yourself. You will not regret it. There is so much misinformation out there regarding nutrition, diets, and health. Pay for professionals to guide you! Dani and her team’s approach to health and wellness was exactly what I needed.

My motivation to reach out first began when I came across Dani’s Instagram page and saw recipes that were using actual food I had in my house. Then I just enjoyed her content and saw she had a group class opening up, so I decided to join.
I am most proud of starting at 256 and am currently down to 213! That is my biggest accomplishment, and my clothes fit better!
I have tried a few different weight loss programs but never felt like I learned anything from them other than to restrict calories. In a way, I feel like I was validated for the way I was thinking. You don’t have to ‘diet.’ Just eat better and be more mindful of what your body needs - PFF!!
I love that my coach Jenna was never down on me, she was always positive, and I was excited to talk to her! She knew that I am a busy mom of 3 who works 2 jobs and runs activities with my kids all year round and helped me with ideas for snacks and workouts that work for me!
If you are not sure if you are ready to PIVOT, my advice is to …. just do it! I have learned so much in the last 12 months, and there is no magic pill. It takes work and being consistent. Jenna has helped me to be again mindful of what my body needs for fuel, and she worked with me as an individual and figured out what works for me.

I was struggling to put on weight and felt very lethargic.

My biggest takeaway is that it's not just about eating a lot of calories. I learned how important a balanced plated is and how important the timing of when I eat is as an athlete.
One thing that I really loved about working with Dani was how she was there when I had questions or had to change a meeting when my schedule changed. She was always there for me when I needed her the most.
As an athlete I was so focused on working out, sleeping right, and mental toughness. For some reason I never thought to think about nutrition. It is definitely the biggest difference maker in how I feel and my performance on the ice.

I’ve struggled with weight almost my whole life. I reached out for coaching because I saw myself getting skinnier, and I didn’t like how I was looking. I wanted to change that so I could perform better and feel better.
I was doubtful about working with a nutrition coach at first, but I've gained 23 lbs since working with Paige. I learned that eating more at once is not always the best for me compared to eating smaller meals and snacks more often.
My favorite thing about working with my coach was just all of the little tips that have stuck with me like bringing my own snacks places and planning ahead. She also kept me accountable to take photos of my meals and snacks so that she could provide me with feedback.
Paige helped me realize that it's a marathon, not a sprint. Staying disciplined and being consistent is key. It's hard at first but it gets easier!

I was motivated to reach out for coaching because both of my sons were getting married 3 months apart. Not only did I want to lose weight, I wanted to have more energy again. I was tired of feeling tired. Also, with a family history of diabetes and heart issues, I had some concerns when I saw some of those numbers rising at my annual check-up.
I am most proud of how good I feel!! I am moving more and sleeping so much better. I lost weight and inches. My lab results have improved at my last check-up. Others have recognized my success and joined the program, too!

I had followed Dani for years on Instagram, so I thought I had a good idea of what I should be doing. I had an injury that limited my usual physical activity so I really wanted to focus on nutrition. A close friend started working with Dani so my husband and I decided to reach out to do this journey together - best decision ever!
My relationship with food has improved so much. I am eating to fuel my body and am able to enjoy fun foods, too. #balance Giving my body fuel has improved my workouts and has helped with my injury.

I decided to invest in my health and nutrition because it was the missing component that I needed to finally achieve my goals and maintain my results. I was working out all the time and gaining weight at the same time.

I always struggled with consistency; I would overdo every diet or workout program to the point that I would burnout and end up back at square one.
Over the past 6 months I am most proud of making small incremental changes that have changed how I view food and exercise. I now feel the healthiest I ever felt in my life! I don't dread working out and weigh the same as I did when I was 21 - I'm down 25 lbs. without feeling like I'm dieting.
Pivot is the perfect program for those who are looking to shift their mindset away from an all-or-nothing mentality and who could use some accountability and support. I went at it alone for so long, and now, that just seems silly.
I signed up for nutrition coaching because weight loss methods that I had used in the past were not working anymore.
Over the last 8 months, I am most proud of increasing my daily activity, having more energy, doing strength training consistently, improving my eating habits, building muscle and dropping body fat.
The crazy part is, I weigh the same as I did at the start but my body composition is significantly different - my clothes fit way better!

During the past decade, I gradually gained weight and wanted to reverse that trend, but resisted because I didn't want to diet. After learning that Pivot Nutrition did not involve restrictive dieting, but, instead lifestyle changes, I decided to do sign up. Seeing and hearing about the results my friends who were clients of Pivot Nutrition also motivated me to enroll in the program.
Over the past 6 months, I have made lifestyle changes, which have resulted in a reduction in inches and an increase in self-confidence. I walk two to three miles at least five days a week, eat healthy and, as a result, feel great. At age 63 I feel better than I did when I was in my 50's!
During my time in Pivot, I learned that healthy food is tasty and my body responds to fueling well and being active by making me energy-filled and happy.
My coach Sam was the best! She encouraged me, gave me advice, and most importantly, she listened to my concerns and coached me to overcome emotional obstacles.
I can say honestly and without reservation that Pivot Nutrition changed my life and I believe that it will do the same for others.
Being in the health and human performance industry myself, I always thought I ate well and had a great foundation. However I was so frustrated with not seeing the body composition results I wanted so I made the decision to reach out to Dani.
I came into the program thinking "I think I need to drop down to 215 lbs.", which was a vague number of where I was weight wise 4 years ago. Not realizing that through my nutrition and training I would put on a lot of muscle, going all the way up to 233, then coming back down to 227, and seeing the body type starting to take shape that I have always been after!
My biggest takeaway was learning more about what my body needs from a food perspective and having a better relationship with certain foods...especially carbs. Dani increased my carbs significantly and within days I felt better during my workouts!
I really liked having someone to give me a plan of action. As a coach myself, all I do is give others direction. When it comes to my training and apparently my nutrition, I like to have someone else give me the plan to follow.
For those on the fence about investing in nutrition coaching, I would say to just do it. It's not this brutal, "you can't eat this, can't have that experience." And I think that's the biggest hump people need to get over.
Just look at me, I weigh 6-8 lbs. MORE then when I started, but look better and feel so much better!

I originally signed up for Pivot because I was going to Hawaii with my husband and wanted to feel confident in my bikini...
I was working out 5 days a week, but I was gaining weight and my clothes were getting tighter. I'd skip meals because life was busy then I would eat till I was uncomfortable, or just have popcorn for a dinner. I realized that I didn’t know much about nutrition and what I should be eating everyday. I was getting uncomfortable in my clothes and felt like it was time for a change!
I learned soo much from doing this program! I learned how to build a balanced plate, I cook more meals than I ever have, I feel more confident, I have more energy, my workouts are more productive, I feel more comfortable in my clothes - I wore shorts all summer this year when last year I never really did!
I loved having someone there to ask questions to, meal ideas, snack ideas, all the nutrition knowledge, etc. Sarah was amazing! She was also fun to talk to! She would consider my biofeedback and it was interesting to see how big of a role food plays in with your mood, energy, sleep, etc. there’s so much she taught me! I am grateful for the accountability and her pushing me and teaching me!
If you're on the fence...DO IT!! Seriously, I wish I would have signed up for this forever ago. I ran a marathon last year and I had no idea how to fuel my body for it. I feel more strong now and feel like my training would have been easier if I had learned how to fuel my body.

During Covid I gained 15 lbs. and was having trouble trying to lose it. My friend Laura had amazing success with Pivot nutrition coaching so she gave me Dani's contact info and the rest is history! Although I was put on a waiting list, the wait was definitely worth it!! In fact, losing the 15 lbs. was successful but nothing compared to the knowledge I gained!!
I’m most proud of my new understanding of food and exercise. Dani has a way of introducing information in a manageable way that is never overwhelming. It’s one step at a time and you build from there. Of course I knew to eat more veggies and fruit as well as the importance of exercise; however, now I have a plan!! A plan that works! No questions were ever left unanswered.
Something I didn’t expect was how easy it was to buy into the program. I totally understood from the beginning that we would reach the results I wanted if I stuck to the program and was honest about what I was eating and drinking. In that respect, the program can work because all of the information is necessary for Dani to help when I reached a plateau or needed to learn more about tracking. I always looked forward to our weekly sessions whether they were online or in-person.
If someone is on the fence about Pivot, I would say what have you got to lose? (Yes, that’s a pun!). Nutrition coaching with Pivot is the real deal. It is not a fad diet or a one-size-fits-all - Pivot works 1:1 with each client so that raises the odds of being successful for each person. Our weekly discussions were all about ME and what was working or not working for ME.
I would like to add the fact there was never any “shaming” or “what were you thinking?” We were encouraged to eat whatever we wanted without any fear of feeling bad or that we failed. Knowing that was the Pivot approach, it was easy to be truly honest about recording meal information. Dani always said we were building on our knowledge to gain a lifelong understanding of nutrition.
I’d also like to add the gentle pushes Dani would give me to get into strength training. I’m seven weeks into strength training and I’m super excited to say l’m enjoying the challenge!! I’ve been doing yoga, biking, pickle ball, golf, and walking for years but strength training was the missing piece. Thank you, Dani, for everything!! You are the best!!!!!!!!
I initially decided to joint Pivot because I struggled to find balance and effectively lose weight. I was trying to eat what I thought was balanced and continued to struggle with weight loss for months. I figured it was time to learn more about food, balance, and my body.
I am most proud that I have changed my lifestyle and relationship with food. Before starting with Pivot I always thought I had a good relationship and understanding of balance, but I was very wrong. I had a lot of false concepts and all of no idealizations. I now feel that I am allowed to remain consistent and healthy while still eating “bad” food.
Throughout my journey at Pivot I rarely looked at the scale. I focused on how my body felt in terms of energy and movement. I became consistent with my nutrition and incorporating movement in daily. My relationship with food and nutrition concepts improved significantly.
My favorite part of working with Sam was the accountability. I also think 1:1 coaching helps you understand that changing your lifestyle takes time. I felt many emotions throughout my journey including guilt and confusion and Sam was able to explain what my body was going through and how to overcome/process those thoughts.
If you feel stuck or confused about dieting, losing weight, or finding consistency, invest in yourself. Understanding more about nutrition and your body is so powerful and is worth the time and effort. The results will be unbelievable!
I was motivated to reach out for nutrition coaching because I wanted to develop a healthy relationship with food (not feeling guilty about eating). I also wanted to learn how to fuel my body and reduce risk of injury since I do triple jump in college.
My biggest win is that I am not afraid to eat food anymore, and I don't get anxiety over eating anymore!! I have finally climbed my way out of the dark mindset I was in.
My greatest non-scale victory is that I came to the realization that what I was doing before was not okay for my physical or mental health, and I have made peace with my past and moved on from it.
I loved working with Sarah. I never felt judged when I had a question to ask, and she ALWAYS had an answer. She also didn't judge me when I had off days.
I am now way more confident with my food decisions. The most important thing I learned was probably the fact that fat isn't the criminal I made it out to be. I didn't realize how much it impacted the entirety off my body. I was able to actually pay attention in class again and my academics thanked me haha.

I was 6 months postpartum and was not feeling like myself, my body had changed so much after having a baby and I was so busy concentrating on taking care of everyone but myself that I was struggling physically and mentally with the way I looked and decided it was time for me to take care of myself so I can do better for my family. I also wanted to have a better attitude when it comes to my body and food so that I can instill positivity in my daughter to have a good relationship with food and the way her body looks.
I am most proud of not feeling guilty when having fun foods like ice cream or chocolate. I would get comments from people saying ‘’You can have that? Aren’t you on a diet?’’ To which I would correct them and say that I’m not on a diet I’m changing my lifestyle and I can have these foods in moderation...Cause I love my ice cream lol!
The best thing I learned is that fun food is ok to have in moderation plus having it guilt free is even better :) Also my mindset has changed; I no longer think, ok I’ll start eating better on Monday. If I have an off day I now tell myself tomorrow is a new day to do better!
I loved everything about working with coach Sarah, especially the fact that I can message her whenever I had questions was so helpful. Also, I love the fact that she listened to what I wanted, I didn’t want to calorie count so we didn’t go that route, I wanted to know a little bit about what to look for on labels so she taught me a few things that have stuck with me for when I go grocery shopping. Having small goals every week that were attainable and that were easy to continue and maintain.
This program is the best thing I could have done for myself not only am I eating better but I feel healthier, stronger, I have more energy and can do more for my family than I was ever able to before!
I did it this to be healthier, stronger and to be able to instill healthy habits for my daughters as she grows up. I also had the added bonus of losing 20lbs and going down a size in clothing! My decision to invest in nutrition coaching was an easy one - I had been dealing with high blood pressure and high cholesterol for a couple years, then found out that I was prediabetic.
I have a grandchild due and my son's wedding (pictured above) in the next year and I needed to take control of my own health so I will be around to enjoy my family!
Before starting the program, I was popping Tums multiple times per day, every day. I haven't taken a Tums in over 5 months and even threw out the bottle!
I lost 25 lbs. in the last 9 months and am very excited about that but am most proud of how I feel about myself now. I feel better about how I look and how my clothes are fitting, I definitely feel more confident with myself. I love eating the foods I want and knowing these foods will continue to improve my health. I am looking forward to being a fun and energetic grandma and be able to be active with my grandchildren.
I would encourage anyone thinking about investing in nutrition coaching to - Just Do It!!! This has been such an empowering experience for me - I am in charge of my own health and I learned I can and have made a difference for my future by doing this.
I'm a breastfeeding mother with a full-time job and chauffer to 3 kiddos. One year ago, I stepped on the scale and read 252 and couldn't believe I was so heavy. I was trying to pour from of an empty cup. I was depleted nutritionally and physically and I had a huge sense of failure.
I was trying to control my weight with intermittent fasting and avoiding fruit and sweets. I was a slave to my hunger and equated eating or craving certain foods to being bad. I loved to exercise but because of the pandemic I was unable to go to my gym. I would do one or two long workouts a week and then be so sore and tired that I'd skip the next one. I was up to nurse the baby every 3 hours and I was trying so hard and I was so stressed out. It took forever to fall asleep when I had time to sleep because my mind was racing.
I was considering bariatric surgery when I was done breastfeeding. I was first put on calorie restriction at age 10 and it felt hopeless. The harder I tried, the more I would see a small success only to regain the weight, lose hope and energy.
I first heard about Dani and Pivot at the worst time. I was to tired and broke and there were a thousand reasons why it wouldn't work for me. But I thought, this is less drastic then surgery.
At first, it seemed too easy. It was hard to trust the process as I only had 2 tasks (goals) for the first week. I could not believe these two things would have an effect. Well, the little things add up! I learned that a 5-minute walk is better then no walk. Exercise that is convenient, like cleaning the house, is better then the one that you never get to or you don't enjoy.
Today, I feel good! Though I have lost 45 lbs. in one year, I am learning that I am not the number on the scale. I am able to eat to nourish myself and my baby and I have energy to be there for my kids which is the most important thing. I know there is no "bad food", only fun food and fuel, both of which I can enjoy!
When Covid hit, I ate whatever I wanted and wasn’t exercising regularly anymore, so I gained quite a bit of weight. I wanted to get back on track for my sophomore year of college and feel good about the food I was eating!
My biggest win from this program is how much my mindset has changed towards food & I'm so happy I am able to include foods I love without feeling guilty! I lost lost 19 lbs. since August and am very proud of being able to be consistent with my diet while still including my favorite foods.
I feel a lot better/comfortable going out to eat and not feeling like I'm going to explode after. I also don't have a ton of cravings anymore. I'm not restricting myself, I just know that what type of food doesn't make my body feel good after. I also LOVE vegetables now, air frying them is the bomb!
I also learned that you can’t just exercise and expect to lose weight; diet will always trump exercise! I am happy I am able to fuel my body with foods I love and I’ve noticed how much my energy has boosted since I started nutrition coaching.
If someone is on the fence about investing in nutrition coaching, I would say absolutely do it! Invest in yourself and create sustainable eating habits that fit your lifestyle. Dani & her team teaches and guides you to reach your goals and maintain them! You will look at food so differently after!
I have always struggled with weight loss, up and down. Getting back on track has been difficult. A health scare last spring motivated me to get help. My family encouraged me to talk to Dani.
In 6 months I was able to steadily lose over 30 lbs. by modifying my eating habits and doing physical exercise daily.

Weight, body image, and my relationship with food is something that I have struggled with my whole life. I have always felt like I wanted to lose weight but the scale did not budge. After many attempts of trying to lose weight and failing, I was the heaviest I had ever been. I knew I needed to make my health a priority, which led me to Dani.

Dani has been so supportive on this journey. Although I have lost over 30 lbs, the non-scale victories outweigh them! My mindset about food has totally changed. Instead of putting food on a pedestal, I now see food as fuel. I can make healthy choices, while still enjoying treats - guilt free!
Dani has shown me that my body NEEDS protein, fat AND carbs!
Nutrition coaching has led me to find confidence and happiness again in myself. My old clothes are fitting better than before, and I am relying on consistency instead of motivation. Although this is not the end of my journey, I am SO happy with how far I have come, and I cannot wait to see where I will go from here. Dani is not just a Registered Dietitian, she is a motivator, mentor, and friend!

I have been over weight since the birth of my last child, which was 16 years ago. Before reaching out to Dani I had spent most of my adult life "fad" dieting. I tried anything and everything, coupled with a very inconsistent gym lifestyle. Needless to say, my eating habits were anything but healthy and sustainable. Fast forward a few years and I finally found myself at a CrossFit gym and was able to dial in consistency and results with the fitness aspect of my life.
